Today is Cabinet Committee Day and Minister Howlin, Secretary General Watt and Officials are attending a series of Cabinet Committees focusing on Economic Structures; Social Policy; Health; Climate Change; Sub-Committees on Economic Recovery and Jobs and Pathways to Work.

On Tuesday, in the Seanad, Minister Howlin is scheduled to take the Report Stage (Amendments from Dáil Éireannof the Protected Disclosures Bill 2013.

 

 Later in the evening the Minister will attend the IFA Irish Food Showcase for Oireachtas Members.

The Department and OPW have a number of written Parliamentary Questions (PQs) for this week, on a range of issues such as: Public Contracts; Construction Contracts Act; Budget 2015; Valuation Act 2014; and Oireachtas (Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices) (Amendment) Act 2001.

On Friday, a Private Members’ Valuation Bill 2014, introduced by Deputy Barry Cowan on 11th February, will be debated at Second Stage in the Dáil.

 Also, on Friday, Minister Howlin will take part in the plenary meeting of the North South Ministerial Council between the Government and the Northern Ireland Executive in Dublin Castle.
