A policy paper was finalised on the basis of further research and analysis in particular in the relation to the key issues highlighted in the submissions received as well as from subsequent meetings with some contributors to the consultation process. This Policy Paper is intended to communicate the main elements of the proposed lobbying legislation. Following publication of the paper a public seminar was hosted by Minister Howlin, on the 5th July 2012, in Farmleigh House which further provided an opportunity for public discussion of the proposals in particular in relation to key implementation issues that have been raised during the consultation process.
