Minister Howlin will speak at an Open Data Forum on Tuesday in the Atrium, Department of Justice. This event will be attended by citizens and civil society; business; researchers or academia; and Public Servants. The Open Data forum will complement the current Open Data consultations and will provide an opportunity to encourage all interested stakeholders to share their views on the future direction for Ireland’s Open Data Initiative.
The Department has been shortlisted as a finalist for the HR Excellence Awards in the Best HR Strategy Overseas Category for our ONE HR Learning and Development Strategy 2015 -2017. The HR Excellence Awards have been recognising organisations for best HR practice for two decades and are sponsored by HR Magazine. The awards, which are the most prestigious in the HR industry, will be presented in London on 30th June.
Secretary General Watt will attend a series of meetings with UK Cabinet Office officials this week.
On Wednesday, Minister Howlin will take Committee Stage of the Houses of the Oireachtas (Appointments to Certain Offices) Bill 2014.
Later on Thursday evening, Minister Howlin will attend the official naming of the Wexford Opera House to the National Opera House.
The next Town Hall meeting for the Civil Service Renewal Plan will take place on 2 July 2015 in the Clock Tower in the Department of Education and Skills in Marlborough Street.
On Friday the Minister will launch the ERDF Operational Programme for the Southern and Eastern Region in Wexford.
The Economic Management Council (EMC) will meet during the week with the Taoiseach, Tánaiste, Minister for Finance, and Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform to discuss a wide range of issues.
