This Week

Today, the Minister and Secretary General will have their weekly briefing.

The weekly Management Board Meeting took place this morning and a meeting of the Management Board Policy Forum is scheduled for Friday.

On Tuesday, Minister Howlin with Departmental officials will attend a Cabinet Committee on Justice.

Later in the morning, Minister Howlin will visit the Public Appointments Service.

On Tuesday afternoon, Minister Howlin will accept a Petition on plain English from the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA). The National Adult Literacy Agency is an     independent charity committed to making sure people with literacy and numeracy difficulties can fully take part in society    and have access to learning opportunities that meet their needs.

The Government Meeting will take place on Wednesday at 10.15 a.m.

The Dáil and Seanad resume on Wednesday.

The Department has a number of Written Parliamentary Questions (PQs) to be answered on Wednesday and Thursday. Issues include flooding, the Government’s Fiscal Plan, recruitment.

On Thursday, Secretary General Watt will attend the Civil Service Management Board Governance Sub Group meetings.

On Friday, Minister Howlin will address a Regional briefing on the Capital Plan for the South East.
